Laminating the cockpit coaming from 1/8" ash. The strips are thin enough that no steam was required to bend them.

A shot down the center, from bow to stern, showing the ribs. If you look close you can see all the different lashing -- I kept trying different lashings: started with some poly line I had, it unraveled too easily. Next was 50# sturgeon leader -- that worked well. Finally I found some artificial sinew at a local leather shop. It's nylon line, heavily waxed. You can tell the different stages of the hull by what it's tied together with.
