| A quiet back channel. This was my neice's first time in a kayak. Lots of powerboats and a stiff wind made crossing the main channel of the river challenging with 2ft plus waves. I struggled a bit paddling solo in a canoe, but she did great in the kayak. I'm quite proud of both her and the boat. (and for the sake of full disclosure: I got flipped by a powerboat wake that day, soaking camera, binocs and cell phones. My niece thought it was pretty funny that I fell out and she didn't...) |
